Author Spotlight on Lucy Felthouse

How I got started writing erotica: I actually got started writing erotica on a dare! I studied Creative Writing at university, and one lunchtime I was around the table with a bunch of friends. They were all male, as the girls were still in a lecture. I don’t remember what we were talking about, other than it was probably rude. One of my friends commented on how open-minded I was, and suggested I should have a go at writing erotica. I laughed it off, but he kept on at me, then dared me. I couldn’t say no then, could I? So I agreed, told him to give me names and a basic plot, and I’d give it a go. I went away and wrote a story, then took it back into university and passed it around the same group of friends. Let’s just say it went down very well and […]

Author Spotlight on Renee Rose #Spanking 4 comments

Today we welcome Renee Rose over for a visit to share her new release with everyone. If you don’t already know Renee from her writing, she’s very active in the spanking community. She helps runs the Spanking Romance Reviews, writes articles for Write Sex Right, blogs for Blushing Books, and lots of others things I’m sure, since I try to keep up. Thank you so much, Jolynn and Kathy, for having me here today for an author spotlight! I’m Renee Rose and I write spanking romance–erotically charged discipline that unites the hero and heroine through the intimacy it forges.   From Regency to medieval, western to Renaissance, I like to set stories in the past, when corporal punishment was more of a norm and putting the heroine over the hero’s knee for a non-consensual spanking seems acceptable. My latest novella, The Darlington Incident, features a British spymaster, who discovers […]

The Demon Inside #DungeonCrawl 10 comments

This is from an old piece I haven’t done too much with. I think perhaps because it’s really gritty, raw, and in your face, dark. I have a trilogy of paranormal historical romance called Beneath the Shadows of Evil which begins with Taken. If you like HEA’s, rainbows, or sunshine, just move along. This story is modern. My vampires don’t sparkle. They are creatures who are sexy, bestial, and more than a little bit evil. This makes for a perfect backdrop for BDSM, Gabriel is a very possessive vampire and Cassie his claimed mate who purposely made him jealous when they are out on night. That was a baaaaaaaaad idea. ~~~~~~~ One last thing is that I preach to never punish when angry. Gabriel is pissed as hell and he is a souless vampire, so he gets past that safety rule. This is from The Demon Inside. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “Gabriel […]
