Golden Flogger Awards Tonight! — Cheer On The Finalists #NYC Dr. Charley Ferrer and the judges of the BDSM Writers Con received 188 books for consideration of the Golden Flogger Award. One More Day Until BDSM Writers Con 2015 #NYC Tomorrow starts the unofficial kickoff of BDSM Writers Con in New York City. At 5:30pm there is an Author Buddy Program to network with the authors and then at 7:00pm starts the Mix and Mingle with drinks and a light fare of food.  The first ten people who attend this week for the BDSM Writers Con in New York City get a signed copy of Taken In Hand, a 16 GB usb drive, a bookmark and some other fun stuff that’s in the pages of the books. The next ten people get a chance to get one of the two signed copies of Taken In Hand, Lessons of Love, Elizabeth’s Destiny, His Lordship’s Wayward Wife, or Sweet Agony. I know I have written on the subject of what newbies into kink need to know, and I also know I’ve mentioned manners, but as new people arrive in my kink community every day, this needs to be addressed so those who are not in the know can be enlightened. If you’re poking around on Fetlife or Collarspace (<— Not a good place), you need manners even though those you meet on Collarspace may very well not be who they say. Six Days and Counting #Wedding   Our household is in a mad frenzy and it looks like a UPS truck exploded in our living room. The cats have never had so many boxes to play in. Why the crazy mess you ask? We are getting married in just six days! That’s it. In six days I will take Beauty to be my lawfully wedded wife. SCOTUS According to Jack   So marriage equality is finally here, by order of the SCOTUS. I for one am extremely thrilled while still being mindful of the fact that there is still work to do in the various spheres of human rights. But it is a huge victory for US citizens that there is now formal acknowledgement and legitimacy of same sex marriage. The ruling does not particularly affect me on an individual level. I’m already married. Marriage Equality was recognized in my state last year and prior to the ruling, Marriage Equality existed in some form or another in 37 states prior to the ruling. It does affect many of my friends and loved ones, however, some of whom have been with their partners for decades, but have been unable to so much as visit them in the hospital when they are ill.
