A Beautiful Haven for Same Sex Weddings in Wisconsin My wife and I are getting married. I say wife because we held a ceremony 4 years ago which meant everything to us, but nothing to the state of Wisconsin. The tide has turned, and more and more states are recognizing same sex marriage for what it truly is: a legal joining of two people who are in love and wish to be together for the rest of their lives. The first ceremony took place at a rented vacation cabin so as to avoid any negativity that would spoil the day. The Disappearing Act Beauty and I are not really known for our magic tricks. I may have more than a few tricks up my sleeve, but they aren’t normally of the pull a rabbit out of a hat variety. All that aside, I imagine more than a few of you have wondered where on Earth have Jolynn and Beauty gone. It seems as though we really did pull a disappearing act for the last couple of months, but we did not fall off the face of the planet. Our absence was more of the stuck in a deep dark hole variety. Almost a month ago, my brother who is 54, had a medical emergency that we still aren’t really clear on. It involved him being found in his bed unconscious and unresponsive. Happy Easter From Us Hope the Easter Bunny brought you what you wanted in your Easter basket. I bought myself a 1950’s style party cookbook that has a bunch of recipes for the kind of swinging party that you would want to have. I’ll have to share the recipes with you. Easter Sunday we are going over to the Queen Mother‘s house for dinner after 2pm when everyone gets there. It will be three kinds of pizzas that will be delivered from Toppers Pizza, and also apple pie that I picked up yesterday at Sam’s Club. I wanted to get another pie there that is called Triple Berry Pie since it’s so delicious. The checkout gal asked about ice cream to top the pie, and I said I was only sent for the pie, and I’d have to see about the ice cream. Normally I am cooking all the holiday […]
