The Next Big Thing

The Next Big Thing The wonderful Sotia Lazu tagged me in this “freeze-tag style blog hop that’s going around Authorville.” Basically, if you get tagged, fill out the questions on your own blog about your upcoming writing project, then tag five additional authors, linking to their blogs or websites. Don’t forget to let them know they were tagged. THE TEN QUESTIONS: 1. What is the working title of your book? Beneath the Shadows of Evil 2. Where did the idea come from for the book? I honestly don’t remember. I love an evil and dark anti-hero, and a soulless vampire in a time when the world was a dark place fit the bill.  3. What genre does your book fall under? Paranormal Historical Romance 4. Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?   I honestly have no idea. I don’t really pay attention to the whole entertainment crowd […]

We Have a BDSM Question ABout Me!

We Have a BDSM Question ABout Me! Well my wife seems to think people might want to know the how and why of my decision to take on the role of a Mistress in the BDSM lifestyle. I think perhaps that is something better written about in the Ask Jolynn section of this blog. Those who wanted to know can find out all about it by clicking on the link for Ask Jolynn. Hum… this morning I guess it will be coffee and the story of allowing my dark side to run free.

A Successful Surgery

Though it took me a good long while and though it was a difficult task, I have been successful in dividing Beneath the Shadows of Evil. I can send book one off to the editor, and focus on the cover image and other little details now.  There will be three books. The first of which will be out in spring sometime between the middle of March and the first of May. Each book will be at least 6oo pages!. The cost for the print version of each book will be high, but the story simply didn’t lend itself to being split into 4 books. So now there is a new dilemma. I have called the book Beneath the Shadows for so long, but now that will be the name of the series. I have to come up with a name for each book, and it must be short, because the series title will take up a lot of space on the […]

The Nightmare of Shadows 2 comments

What does one do when the story they have written is a whopping 450,000 words? Many have said that books shouldn’t be over 100,000 words, especially in this day and age of the ADHD society. The paperback version will be too costly to print, and the e-book reader doesn’t want to invest the time, or so they say. So here I am left attempting to split apart a story that has a lot of small plot lines woven into the big picture and finding it a nightmare to cut it up. If I follow the wisdom of those with experience and those in the business, I should chop it into four parts, but those parts aren’t clearly evident. Each sub plot is too intricately imbedded. Will my readers scream if too many of the small plot lines are left dangling? I am left with is cliffhangers ever where I look. The obvious break line […]

Feels Soooo Good

One of the local stores is now stocking Elizabeth’s Destiny, Dark Obsessions, and Sweet Agony. It’s a major step in the sales of my paperback copies. When they come in the box I still get all tingly when I hold one of them. It is a definite rush to touch a new book, all glossy and perfect and see my name on it for the author. For those of you here in Milwaukee, they are being sold at the Tool Shed down on Murray. Go on down and look at all their wonderful things. Many of their floggers, paddles, collars, and other fun stuff are made by local people. You know Lord Katana makes the best floggers and Sir Wieland the best paddles. It’s all high quality stuff, not cheesy, cheap, porn store toys. Aside from vendor events it’s hard to find toys that are as well made. We even bought a catnip stuffed purple velour […]

Do Not Disturb

Muse and I are waking up with a couple of cups of coffee. Soon we will be locked away with the computer so we can work, work, work. Yesterday was a full day spent tapping away at the keyboard and today will be another. The finishing touches are being put on my epic novel, Beneath the Shadows of Evil, and the editor is shining it up. It’s a paranormal historical romance that will be billed as the darkest love story ever told. It will debut in the Spring of 2013. Hopefully Muse and I can come up for air before then.

Free Promo Day!

My new book, Dark Obsessions, can be download for free today and tomorrow. Time to get out that new Kindle or laptop and load it up with some kinky goodness. Dark Obsessions features short BDSM stories that feature Female/female characters involved in kinky play. The stories are written based on actual scenes, and my lovely wife Beauty even has one written for her. A very spicy read indeed.

Happily Blessed

I have a peaceful moment (Beauty is still in bed), to reflect on family, life, and love on this special day. We did family yesterday and so can spend a quiet day snuggled in front of the fire, savoring the best gift of all that is each other. Life is good, I have love, support, compassion, encouragement, companionship, a peaceful place to call home, and best of all someone who understands me. May you and yours find something as special in your lives and in your hearts, and may the world know the quiet joy of peace.

Do You Feel It?

That special feeling floating in the air is the magic of the season. Whatever you celebrate, may you receive the gifts of love, joy, and peace. For those who have been extra good this year, may you also find something kinky in your stocking, under your tree, or perhaps someone wrapped in just a bow.
