Book Blurb:
Two men. One woman. It could ruin a friendship, or bring a satisfying twist to their lives. Artist, Jason Morgan, is used to making magic on the canvas. Now he hopes to do it in the bedroom.
After a failed gallery showing, Jason decides the best way to cure his creative block is to act on his own personal fantasy, and enter into a sexual relationship with his two best friends.
From the time they were in elementary school, Russell Sinclair has been a willing participant in Jason’s adventures, but this one goes to a new level. He’s intrigued by the idea of sharing one woman, but is challenged by how to fit this three-sided relationship into his traditional life.
Lauren Redmond is no stranger to fantasy. As the aesthetic sales rep to the top Beverly Hills dermatologists, she is responsible for the majority of puffed lips and filled wrinkles in the greater Los Angeles area. She detours from her steady, secure path when she is offered the opportunity to live the dream with the two men who have occupied her heart since college. The fantasy fast becomes a powerful reality, and Lauren must decide if she is willing to give up everything she has worked for to have a bit of temporary decadence.
Trifecta explores the boundaries of love, relationships and convention.

Author Interview with Kim for Elaine White re-posted with the author’s permission from http://ellelainey.wordpress.com/
Interview:
1. How long have you been writing?
I started writing about nine years ago when a character spoke to me. I wrote on line for years and then got the idea I could get published – it has been quite a journey!
2. Did you decide to write a M/F/M story or is that the way the characters made it as you started writing?
It was my fantasy (is that TMI LOL) I just was like what if you didn’t have to choose between two men?
3. How did you come up with the title Trifecta? Was it an obvious choice or something that you had to mull over?
I wanted something that denoted three in the title and once I wrote the story it came out.
4. Out of Jason, Lauren and Russell which character is your favorite and why?
Oh that’s like asking which one of your kids is your favorite, but I have to say Jason. He thinks he knows everything but I think out of all of them he takes the biggest journey, plus I’m a sucker for bangs in the eyes.
5. What do you think is the core factor that brought these three characters together as friends, before they ever attempted to move beyond friendship?
I tried to create them so that they all filled a void in each other. Even as friends I think they all fit together and for those characters it was the natural progression of things.
6. How do you get past writers block or distractions like the internet?
The Internet is the worst, I just have to log off. LOL For writer’s block I usually skip to a different part of the story or read what I wrote. I try to get to the root of what is not working for me.
7. Is there a genre you haven’t written in yet, but that you want to attempt?
Sci Fi for sure.
8. Have you ever written a character you hated? What made you feel that way?
Yes. I have written characters that I am like what happened to you, I hate you? Its usually a weakness I find, and if it’s a main character I go back and retool them or do a character interview and ask them why they are killing me. If it’s a villain I know I did my job.
9. Where do you gather most of the inspiration for your works?
My life and driving around LA doing my job. Also sometimes just a little spark.
10. You’ve been writing for a lot of years and you have a lot of published works available, if you had to pick a favourite story, what would it be and why?
Again, the choose a kid question LOL Okay. I would say I would pick two.
1. Permanent because that story was beaten up and I didn’t think it would go anywhere and it went best seller in Contemporary Romance on Amazon.
2. Trifecta because it represented freedom for me.
Kim was nominated for the Menage Romances Fan Awards given by Mary Menage for her book Trifecta. Voting is open until February 8th. You can go and vote here.
Kim Carmichael began writing eight years ago when her need for graphic sex scenes and love of happy endings inspired her to create her own. She has a weakness for bad boys and techno geeks, and married her own computer whiz after he proved he could keep her all her gadgets running. When not writing, she can usually be found slathered in sunscreen trolling Los Angeles and helping top doctors build their practices.
