Beauty and I are new to this event. We normally go to the big convention events closer to home but wanted to try something new. So the question in my mind was will it be the same thing with just new people? Nope. This event is HUGE. We have been at events before where we kinky folks take over a whole hotel, but not on this scale.
People – Very friendly and welcoming. They get an A+. I forgot to bring my Ivory soap and because of allergies can’t use regular soap so I posted for help from those who had a car. Four people right off offered to get soap for me. A trip to Walmart was had. We spent aa few hours in the vending area and only got through a bit because everyone was so friendly. We chatted with each vendor so have to finish our shoppng today and tomorrow. I purchased my first PVC dress. It’s sexy and something very new for me. I usually got for the corset and frilly skirt, but like the super tight dress.
Dungeon – A – Lots of furniture and pieces we haven’t seen before or haven’t seen much, and it is huge. I believe someone said 6 football fields big. there was a large dome jungle gym type of thing that you could suspend people in or bind to the outside. People putting people in a giant deflated latex bubble and blowing it up and rolling them around. Large scaffolding to do really creative bondage suspension, many forms of stocks, binding tables, benches for spanking, crosses for flogging, giant crosses hung from scaffolding for bondage. We chose a table with tall poles on each side in the middle. It allowed me to put Beauty on her back and tie her ankles towards the top of each pole, spread or together depending on if I was paddling the sensitive skin where her bottom meets her thighs or spread for more evil things. The only reason I didn’t give the dungeon an A+ was the lack of music.
Classes – B+ – We went to a fire flogging class, missed a class on topping and one on pressure points because we couldn’t get up on time after staying up late in the dungeon, are going to one on BDSM relationships and keeping them strong today, as well as one on play piercing. Why not an A+ ? Many classes were focused on edge play or a specific niche. You of course could call fire play an edge class, but it was one that interested us. CBT, using saliene and Super glue for body modification, fisting (Know about that one) Using real electric staples, breath play and strangulation, and a few others just aren’t our thing. Some people probably though the classes were A + + I just feel they leaned too much toward edge play.
Vendors – A+ Wow, what a huge selection of all things BDSM. I spent way way too much money. Bought a PVC dress, A double flogger like I have never seen before, gloves with flogger falls at the end of each finger, a magnetic leather padded strap that I can’t really give an accurate discription of but is unlike anything I have seen, and more. Oh, and a very pretty steampunk corset for Beauty along with other smaller toys. Wonderful products and friendly vendors.

This is our last day of the kink convention. Classes today, closing ceremony, and then an after party at the city’s major play place. More fun to be had but we are TIRED!!!
I absolutely love the whole energy of spending the entire weekend with kinky people. It’s fabulous to be yourself in public and be with like minded folks. Heathens gone wild. People running around nude, people dressed in their fetish best, people playing in so many ways, people who don’t judge and women with REAL body types being un self conscious about their nudity. It just makes us kinky folks who so often have to hide feel free. The feeling is hard to explain. You just wander the dungeon and look at things and play and think wow, the vanilla folks just would have their minds boggled.
This is actually Sunday as you all well know so this post never made it out earlier. No time. I have tried to put into words what it is like here and feel I probably failed for the most part but wanted to try and relate it all. I appologize for typos and such. We are tired and in a huffy to get to class.
