Change Is A Four Letter Word 32 comments

Change Is A Four Letter Word {Written by Jolynn Raymond} Change is just a word, but it can mean many different things to people. Some of us hate it, and some embrace it. I am one of the haters. Change does more than annoy me, it gives me anxiety, makes my head spin with the uncertainty of it, and is just plain unwelcome in my life. Perhaps it’s the dominant in me who must always be in control speaking up, or the memories of bad changes in my past keeping me from wanting to move forward. Either way, telling me there must be big changes in my life is a sure way to receive a nasty glare. I am well aware that there have been and will be great changes that come along. Meeting my soon to be all the way wife, Beauty, snowballed into a wonderful and life altering […]

Hop Against Homophobia, Bi- and Transphobia 2015 10 comments

Hop Against Homophobia, Bi- and Transphobia 2015   Today, May 17th, is the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia. Groups around the world will be celebrating the day in various ways and you can follow it all through the IDAHOT page: http://www.dayagainsthomophobia.org/ We, 118 writers, publishers, reviewers, cover designers, and other people involved in the making of LGBT books, want to make an effort as well by sharing messages with our readers and other blog visitors. This is the hop’s fourth year, and in our prior years we’ve had huge success in reaching a diverse group of people around the globe. We’ve decided to do it again, because there’s no sense messing with success, right? We encourage you to visit all the hop locations. There will be an LGBT-related prize at each stop. The Power of A Whisper #Genderfluid 3 comments

Due to an ugly incident in a Facebook group, I have decided to repost the article I wrote for the Hop Against Homophobia. I have friends who are gay, lesbian, gender fluid, transsexual, and many more. The point is people who feel one gender, but their body is another should be respected. It is their choice, their feelings, their decision. I do not know the pain of feeling I am in the wrong body. Whether one cross dresses, presents themselves as male or female with parts that don’t match, love persons of the same sex, or are brave enough and have the resources to change their body to match who they are, it is their right to state and request how they wish to be addressed. I would never use the male name of a friend who lives as a female. I would never tell someone that they can go […]

I Need Help For a Reader 1 comment

I Need Help For a Reader I received a message from a woman in the Middle East who is a closeted lesbian as well as a submissive. Her wish is to be able to find blogs or websites that are written/created by a woman who is in a female/female Domestic Discipline relationship. It is her desire to some day be in a DD relationship, but for now she must be content just reading about other female/female Domestic Discipline couples. The amount of information and websites are filtered where she lives, with much being banned and unable to be viewed, but blogs are more apt to get through the filter. My request to my readers, if you know a blog that features a lesbian couple in a Domestic Discipline relationship please put the link in the comment section under this post. Beauty and I are the only female/female couple we know […]

We Are Ethical 2 comments

We Are Ethical If you came for the books and are disturbed by BDSM, by all means, skip this post! I thought a bit about this blog post before deciding to go ahead and do it. It’s not that I am ashamed in any way shape or form about my sexuality and kinky lifestyle, it’s because as a rule, I don’t think it’s okay to shove BDSM down the throat of those who would feel offended by it. That said, my involvement in BDSM isn’t exactly hidden on here, so I decided to choose the road that might lead to a better understanding of who we are. That popular book, you know the one, has a lot of misconceptions. For one, there isn’t a huge percentage of us who come from dark or abusive backgrounds or have hidden traumas, at least not more than the regular population. We aren’t immoral, […]
